The Level 1 course is the first step for aspiring referees, focusing on the theory of squash officiating. This foundational course provides a deep understanding of the rules and the role of a referee, helping you build confidence and knowledge. Perfect for players transitioning to officiating or anyone passionate about squash, this course offers a solid theoretical base to start your refereeing journey.

The Level 2 course elevates your officiating knowledge, focusing on applying the rules, presenting, and controlling a match. You'll develop communication skills and understand the roles of the referee and marker through online modular coursework, periodic testing, and appraisals. Completing this course qualifies you to referee at appropriate competitions as determined by your member nation.

The Level 3 course prepares you to officiate at a national level, enhancing your understanding of elite player movement and play. You'll focus on presentation, match management, clear communication, and composure under stress. This course includes online modular coursework, periodic testing, and appraisals. Completing this program qualifies you to referee at National, PSA, and WSF events.

The Level 4/5 course is designed for officials aiming to referee at the highest levels of squash. Level 4 officials will refine their understanding of the rules, elite-level player movement, and match control. Level 5 officials are expected to be the best in the world, demonstrating advanced skills in these areas. Both levels require regular refereeing, excellent composure, and clear communication. The course also focuses on coping strategies for dealing with pressure, taking ownership of development, and learning the fundamental traits required to become an elite performer. This course includes online modular coursework and appraisals.
