World Squash Officiating (WSO) are delighted to announce a new partnership with England Squash that will see their members benefit from a 20% discount on all WSO courses and certificates from August 2024.
Following the development of England Squash’s new membership scheme, introducing five new player categories, the partnership will provide the opportunity for individuals to enhance their knowledge of the rules and improve their own game. England Squash have shown a commitment to developing officiating by subsidising this discount for its members to take advantage of.
WSO is the globally recognised organisation dedicated to the regulation and development of squash officiating worldwide. We work with Regions, Member Nations, Events, Referees, Players, and Coaches to improve everyone’s squash experience. Our certificates are of the highest quality, endorsed by the Professional Squash Association and World Squash Federation, to inform and educate at all levels.
Lee Drew, Head of WSO, said: “We’re delighted to formalise this partnership with England Squash and provide their members with a discount on referee courses and player certificates. Our joint commitment to improving the understanding of squash rules and their interpretations aligns perfectly with our mission to empower players, coaches, and officials with the knowledge needed to enhance their squash experience.”
Joey Barrington, England Squash Membership and Commercial Manager, said: “We’re thrilled to partner with WSO and support our members to access courses and resources that will boost their knowledge of the game – whether as a player or a referee. We want players, new and existing, to enjoy more than just these benefits. We want them to feel what it’s like to be part of a unique sporting community, to play a game like no other that gets your heart racing, lifts your spirits and leads to new connections and friendships. We look forward to working with WSO over the coming years and creating further opportunities for our members.”
